Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to notoriety after she released her first album Age Ain't Nothing More Than a Number in 1994. It was Gold in the year she turned 15 years old. The collaboration was highly in the style of R. Kelly, and put the singer onto the scene. She collaborated in 1996 alongside Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland for her second album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Only Knew. Following the success of this album, Aaliyah won international acclaim for her work as an R&B performer. She was a part of the martial arts legend Jet Li in 2000's romantic-action movie Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the movie Romeo Must Die spotted her during an awards event. Queen of the Damned was her debut role in 2002. It is based off the Anne Rice novel. In 2003, she starred on screen in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She received four Grammy nominations in 2001, 1999, 2002 and 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Born in Connecticut to a family of Indian descent. Mann is her stage name. Mann is an abbreviation for her married name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for professional name. While she started out with minor film and TV performances, her acting began becoming more popular in the turn of the century. In addition to The Big Bang Theory, her notable other works include Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) and Grey's Anatomy (2017.) The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials including Volvo's international car maker. She is currently working on her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
