Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothing but a Number came out in 1994. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just fifteen when her debut album was released as Gold. It was done as part of a group that was greatly influenced by R. Kelly and it placed her in the limelight. The year 1996 saw her release her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the number one hit single If Your girl only had known. Aaliyah was recognized internationally for her work as an R&B artist following their release of the sophomore album, One In A Million. She was a part of the romance and action movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial arts legend Jet-Li. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an awards ceremony. The film she was in was the vampire film that was based on Anne Rice Queen of the Damned, it was released in 2002. Then she was introduced to the Matrix in the form of Zee on The Matrix Sequels having also performed in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. The singer received four Grammy nominations between 1999 and 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is the first generation Indian-American who was born in Connecticut. Mann is an abbreviation of her first name in marriage, Mankad. She uses Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for her professional names. Though she initially had minor film and TV roles, her acting started growing in popularity around the middle of 2000s. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. The actress also appeared in a variety of commercials including Volvo and other major automobile companies. She is currently working on her acting career at Los Angeles, where she lives with her daughter and husband.
